WHO: Dane County Executive Kathleen Falk and Zoo Director James Hubing, plus Debbie Garten of the Zoological Society and a “feathered friend” will provide a sneak peak of the new $4.2 million Aviary at the Henry Vilas Zoo.

When this unique and beautiful exhibit is completed, the three-story, 10,000 square foot building, with translucent roof and wall panels, will bring visitors into a South American Tropical Rain Forest. In three to four months, over 100 tropical birds will join the 250 rain forest plants, waterfalls and ponds already installed. Donations are paying for $3.2 million of the $4.2 million project.
