Dane County Announces Construction of CTH PQ Will Start Today

Today Dane County Executive Parisi announced Dane County will partner with the Village of Cambridge to reconstruct CTH PQ from USH 12 to West Village limits, work will begin today.

 

“Investing in our infrastructure is good for public safety and for our economy,” said Dane County Executive Parisi. “We will continue to prioritize these partnerships to make sure our roads are safe for everyone.”

 

The project began today and be completed in September.  Construction work includes sanitary sewer replacement, excavation, crushed aggregate base, curb and gutter, sidewalk and asphalt pavement.  The road will be closed to thru traffic and a detour will be posted directing traffic around the work zone.

 

There will be a public information meeting held tonight from 5:00-6:15 p.m. in the Village of Cambridge.  Dane County staff will be present at the meeting to answer questions about the construction.

 

The County’s estimated share of the construction is $580,000 and the Village will pay $812,000. Beginning November 1, 2018 CTH PQ the village of Cambridge will take over maintenance and plowing of CTH PQ as part of the agreement.
