Following emergencies and disasters, getting your organization Back To Business is both your and government’s concern.  What government, professional organizations, and insurance companies know is that resumption of your organization’s operations comes sooner and more efficiently if you have taken time to prepare for responding to and recovering from a disaster.

To provide an opportunity for organizations (private, non-profit, and government) to learn about continuing critical functions, recovering impacted capacity, and resuming normal operations, Dane County Emergency Management is sponsoring a FREE Back To Business Workshop  Thursday October 29, 2015 from 9:00am – 2:30pm at Olbrich Botanical Gardens.  Lunch is included.

Presentation topics include:

  • Understanding the Incident Command System used by first responders

  • Continuity planning

  • Utility restoration

  • Government disaster recovery assistance

“Planning is key to safe and fast recovery,” said Dane County Executive Parisi. “Dane County is offering this workshop to help our community become more resilient and ready for an emergency.”

This workshop is made possible by a grant from Wisconsin Emergency Management supporting local public / private partnerships.
