Dane County and project partners, the City of Madison and the Greater Madison Convention and Visitors Bureau, have initiated a new study to assess the redevelopment opportunities for the Alliant Energy Center facilities and campus.

The study will have a specific emphasis on how to enhance the market position of AEC through capital investment in AEC facilities. It will also take into consideration social equity and sustainability, high priorities for our region.

On Tuesday, September 9, 2014, Dane County is holding a joint meeting with the South Metropolitan Planning Council for community members and residents to learn more about the project, and share their perspective on the issues and opportunities for Alliant Energy Center.

“Providing community input is key to establishing a strong foundation for the AEC Strategic Feasibility study and future planning efforts,” said Dane County Supervisor Shelia Stubbs.

The community outreach event will be held in Madison at the Urban League, 2222 South Park St., on Tuesday, September 9 at 6:00 pm. The meeting will take place in Evjue room on the first floor. Refreshments will be served.
