Madison, WI: Wednesday February 18, 2009 - At approximately 5:42 am, the Dane County Sheriff's Office, Columbus Fire Department and Waterloo Fire Department responded to 7764 State Highway 73 in the Town of York for a barn fire. The barn contained a skid loader, 4 tons of cornmeal feed and 3 tons of soybean meal. A vehicle outside the building was also damaged. The barn and all of the contents were completely destroyed. The total estimated loss at this time is $20,000. No persons were injured as a result of the fire. The fire remains under investigation by the Dane County Sheriff's Office and Columbus Fire Department.
