County Executive

Dane County Executive Kathleen Falk issued the following statement regarding Governor Doyle’s appointment of Ismael Ozanne as Dane County District Attorney.

"I am pleased about the appointment of Corrections Deputy Secretary Ismael Ozanne by Governor Doyle to be our county's next District Attorney.  All three candidates for this position would have been excellent District Attorneys.  Ismael’s years as an Assistant Dane County District Attorney successfully prosecuting all levels of crime and his managerial experience on the state level as an Executive Assistant and Deputy Secretary of Corrections make him very well qualified for this position. I look forward to working with Ismael and outgoing District Attorney Brian Blanchard to have a smooth transition in ensuring our criminal justice system continues to work fairly, efficiently and effectively for all residents of Dane County.”
