Facebook Photo Leads to Arrest

A photo on the popular social networking website Facebook lead Dane County Sheriff’s Deputies to arrest Cody J. Redenius, age 20, for violation of a Domestic Abuse Injunction. Deputies arrived at Redenius’s home in the town of Dunkirk at approximately 3:30 pm on Thursday, May 28th, after his ex-girlfriend reported that she had viewed a photo of Redenius on Facebook where he is seen holding a shotgun. A Domestic Abuse Injunction placed on Redenius in March of 2009 clearly indicates that he cannot be in possession of a firearm. Redenius admitted to deputies that he was in possession of the shotgun, and that it was loaded with ammunition. The Sheriff’s Deputies immediately took possession of the firearm, and placed Redenius under arrest for the violation. ###
