Interstate Citgo Held up By Armed Robber

At approximately 7:12pm, Dane County Sheriff's Deputies and DeForest Police Officers were dispatched to the Interstate Citgo, after receiving a report of an armed robbery. An employee reported the suspect entered the store, displayed a hammer, and demanded cash. After receiving the cash, the suspect fled the store.
The Interstate Citgo is located at 4995 County Highway V, in the Town of Vienna. The robber is described as a white, male, 5'9"-6'0" tall, with a medium build. He was wearing a grey, hooded sweatshirt and a blaze orange stocking mask. The suspect left the scene in an unknown direction.
The incident remains under investigation. The Dane County Sheriff's Office is asking anyone who has information on the incident to call the tip line at (608) 284-6900.
