PRESS UPDATE ON COURT ACTIONS

March 17, 2011
Topf Wells, (608) 266-9069
County Executive

Dane County Executive Kathleen Falk today thanked Dane County District Attorney Ismael Ozanne for acting on Dane County Board Chair Scott McDonell’s and her complaint that Republican leaders of the Legislature violated the Open Meetings Law when the Legislature passed the Budget Repair Bill.  “A key purpose of the Open Meetings Law is to ensure that the Legislature must follow a complete, fair, and public process in acting upon controversial bills.  When Republican leaders broke the Open Meetings Law, they deepened the distrust that millions of Wisconsin residents feel toward Governor Walker and his Republican allies.”

Below is an email from the Office of Dane County Corporation Counsel with the latest information we have on the scheduling and location of these actions.
