Falk Press Statement: Vision for Next 103 Days as Interim County Executive

Dane County Executive Kathleen Falk issued the following statement after being confirmed by the County Board as Interim County Executive. Falk will serve as Executive until her successor is sworn in April 19th:
I'm grateful that the half-million citizens in our county have put their trust in me for a historic 14 years. I promise to continue to work my hardest for them for the next 103 days.
Our work to clean up our lakes with our cow-power projects and next steps to be the first in the state to keep pollutants like phosphorus out of our waters is nationally significant. We've been a state leader with our efforts to curb our culture acceptance of alcohol abuse.
We've accomplished a lot and there's more good work to do in the next 103 days.
I want to commend Board Chair Scott McDonell for his service as Acting County Executive and extend my appreciation to him and the County Board for their continued trust.
