Dane County Snowmobile Trails Will Close at 6:00 AM on Thursday, December 30th

Effective Thursday, December 30th, at 6:00 AM all Dane County snowmobile trails will be closed.  This includes the Glacial Drumlin and Military Ridge Trails in Dane County.

Due to the anticipated warm weather and rainfall, trails are expected to deteriorate quickly, prompting Dane County Parks and the Dane County Council of Snowmobile Clubs to close trails.  This is an effort to save as much of the trail base as possible and hope for favorable weather to return later next week. Trails will reopen when there is at least (6) six inches of snow for a trail-base and steady temperatures below freezing.
