FIRE DESTROYS SHED

Madison, WI. Monday, February 23, 2009 – At approximately 1:48 a.m., Dane County Sheriff’s Deputies, along with Fire Departments from Belleville, Brooklyn, Fitchburg, New Glarus, Oregon, and Verona, responded to 6353 County Highway A, Town of Montrose, for a structure fire. Upon arrival, flames were seen coming from the roof of a shed that was on the property. The shed, which contained several vehicles and welding equipment, was a complete loss. The estimated loss at this time is approximately $100,000. No one was injured as a result of the fire, which was reported by the homeowners. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
