Pole Barn Destroyed in Fire

Madison, WI. 11/23/08 – At approximately 8:12 p.m., Dane County Sheriff’s Deputies, along with Blooming Grove, Cottage Grove, Maple Bluff, McFarland and Stoughton Fire Departments, responded to 2782 Hidden Farm Road, in the Town of Dunn, for a report of a pole barn fire. Upon arrival, the barn was fully engulfed in flames. The 60’ x 120’ barn contained various wood working equipment and tools. A 1993 Toyota Corolla was also destroyed during the fire. No one was injured in the fire. The homeowners, Donna and Steven Washa did not have an immediate estimate on the property loss. The exact cause of the fire has not been determined, but remains under investigation.
