Snowstorm Travel Information The National Weather Service is predicting up to 12” of snow by 12:00pm Friday for Dane County. As of 11:00am today (TH), the snow is expected to start around midnight and fall until approximately 12:00pm Friday. The heaviest period of snow is expected between midnight and 6:00am Friday with the possibility of up to two (2) inches of snow an hour. People will need to make decisions regarding work, transportation, and schools early in the day. To help make these decisions, travel information from several different agencies is listed below. Madison Metro – Bus operations and schedules – 266-4466 Dane County Regional Airport – For flight information visit www.msnairport.com City of Madison– For general information regarding snow plowing in the City of Madison visit www.cityofmadison.com/residents/Winter Wisconsin Department of Transportation – www.dot.state.wi.us/travel/driving-cond.htm National Weather Service – For current and predicted weather conditions visit www.crh.noaa.gov/mkx Please do not call 9-1-1 to ask about road or weather conditions. Use 9-1-1 to report an emergency or request emergency services. Public works and law enforcement agencies will have more plows and officers on the roads to deal with the snow and resulting road conditions. Please use extra caution and plan on more travel time if you have to go out. ###
