Madison area residents will have same-day, non-stop service between Dane County Regional Airport (DCRA) in Madison and New York LaGuardia Airport, effective December 15, due to a change in the flight schedule of American Eagle, the regional affiliate of American Airlines.
“This benefits business travelers who can fly non-stop to the world’s financial capital and return to Madison the same evening,” said Bradley Livingston, DCRA director.
American Eagle also provides same-day service to New York through its hub at Chicago O’Hare, with seven daily flights between DCRA and O’Hare.
American Eagle provides the Madison-LaGuardia round-trip service daily, except Saturday, using 37-seat Embraer regional jets. Flight time to New York is about two hours and 25 minutes.
The Sunday through Friday schedule for the service is as follows (all times local):
Flight Departs Arrives
4829 Madison at 7:05 a.m. New York 10:30 a.m.
4837 New York at 6:45 p.m. Madison at 8:25 p.m.
New York ranks in the top five destinations for travelers from Dane County Regional Airport.
American Eagle also has two daily flights to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport from Madison, in addition to the Chicago and New York service.
