American Eagle, a regional affiliate of American Airlines, will add a third daily, mid-afternoon nonstop flight between Dane County Regional Airport (DCRA) in Madison and the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, beginning June 1. American Eagle began service to Madison with two daily round-trip nonstop flights between the two cities in June 2005. The Dallas/Fort Worth area is the largest metropolitan area in Texas, and the fifth largest in the United States. It has one of the highest concentrations of corporate headquarters in the country, including a large number of electronics, computing and telecom firms. The flights from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport are particularly convenient for connections to Latin America, Mexico, and the Caribbean. Dane County Executive Kathleen Falk said, “We know the business community values nonstop flights and having more flight options means added convenience for our business travelers.” “In today’s competitive air service environment, another nonstop flight to a key destination like Dallas Fort Worth is certainly a welcome addition,” said Airport Director Bradley Livingston, AAE. American Eagle, one of six carriers at DCRA, provides nonstop service from Madison to Chicago, St. Louis, New York-LaGuardia and Dallas Fort Worth. The existing Madison to Dallas/Fort Worth flights are seven days a week, departing at 6:35 a.m. and 12:50 p.m. The new service, onboard a 50-seat Embraer regional jet, will operate daily at the following local times: Flight 3688 departs Madison at 3:05 p.m. and arrives in Dallas/Fort Worth at 5:30 p.m. Flight 3687 departs Dallas/Fort Worth at 12:20 p.m. and arrives in Madison at 2:40 p.m. ABOUT AMERICAN EAGLE American Eagle operates over 1,700 daily flights to more than 150 cities throughout the United States, Canada, the Bahamas, Mexico and the Caribbean on behalf of American Airlines.
