Dane County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 5 drivers overnight for Operating While Intoxicated. Four of the arrests were first offenses, while one person was arrested for the second time. In addition to an OWI charge, Erica L. Brilowski, age 22, was also cited for Hit and Run, Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign, and Failure to Report an Accident. Brilowski was traveling northbound on CTH P at approximately 4:00 am and failed to stop at a stop sign. Her vehicle struck a vehicle attempting to turn left from CTH P on to CTH S, driven by Albert G. Snorek, age 63 of Black Earth. Brilowski fled the scene but was stopped by Mt. Horeb Police a short time later. Drunk or drug-impaired driving is a preventable cause of traffic crashes. Alcohol is involved in 1/3 of all traffic crashes in Wisconsin and is the single most common factor in all traffic related fatalities. ###
