Semi Versus Sport Utility Vehicle Crash

Madison, WI. 10/27/2007 – At approximately 9:51 p.m. on October 27, 2007 Dane County Sheriff’s Deputies, DeForest Police and EMS to a two vehicle injury crash on CTH C and Vinburn Rd. in the Town of Windsor. An Eastbound 2007 Honda CRV operated by Arta P. Cheney, 60 of Minnesota rolled through the intersection from a stop sign on Vinburn Rd. into the path of a Northbound 2000 Freightliner Semi tractor on CTH C driven by Robert A Landphier, 48of DeForest. The passenger of the CRV Charles E Cheney, 64 of Minnesota was transported by Med Flight to UW Hospital with Serious injuries. Arta Cheney was transported by EMS to UW hospital for minor injuries. The operator of the Semi Tractor was not injured. All occupants were wearing seatbelts and the CRV's airbags did deploy. Alcohol does not appear to be a factor. The Crash remains under investigation by the Sheriff's Office.
