Underage Alcohol Party

Madison, WI. – On 09/30/07 at approximately 12:10 a.m., Dane County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to 5439 Easy Street in the Town of Westport to investigate reports of an underage drinking party. Upon the deputies’ arrival they observed several vehicles parked on Easy Street and in the driveway of the residence. Deputies were unable to make contact with anyone who lived at the residence. They determined that there were several people inside a locked shed on the property. Deputies observed approximately 40-50 people inside the shed who appeared to be trying to hide. The occupants of the shed did not respond to the deputies requests to open the doors or exit the shed. Four citations were issued the night of the incident. Two juveniles were issued citations for underage alcohol consumption and possession of THC & Drug paraphernalia. Sheriff’s Detectives have been investigating this incident for possible criminal charges. At this time, the investigation is still on-going. Detectives have identified approximately 80 teenagers who admitted to attending the party. Upon the completion of the investigation, the reports will be forwarded to the District Attorney’s office with recommendations on charges.
