The first meeting of the Dane County Manure Management Task Force will be held at 8 p.m. on Wednesday April 13, in Conference Rooms A&B, on the first floor of the Lyman F. Anderson Agriculture and Conservation Center, 1 Fen Oak Court in Madison. “We look forward to working with the public to solve this problem,” said Dane County Executive Kathleen Falk. “We know that protecting our lakes and streams is a priority for citizens and we welcome the help of the farm community in coming up with an efficient and fair way to do this.” "Recent fish kills and pollution runoff show that manure is a major problem in Dane County. We welcome the public to attend these meetings to help find a solution," said Brett Hulsey, Chair of the Task Force. "We want to protect our stream and lakes and use this nutrient resource wisely." The Anderson Center is located on Madison’s east side. A map to the facility can be found at this link: www.countyofdane.com/landconservation/smallmap.htm # # #
