All Snowmobile Trails in Dane County Have Closed

For Immediate Release February 1, 2005 From: Darren Marsh Dane County Parks Office 608-246-3896 Effective today, February 1, 2005, all of the snowmobile trails in Dane County have closed. The recent warm weather has reduced snow depths to the point that Dane County Parks Department and the Dane County Council of Snowmobile Clubs have had to close the trails. Before the trails can be re-opened, we will need additional snow fall and below freezing temperatures. Dane County Cross-Country Ski Trails are reported to be in poor condition. For up to date trail conditions, call the Parks Info Line at 42-4576, or to speak to park staff, call 246-3896. ###
