County Executive

“Dane County is home to world known biotechnology and information technology businesses. The Technology Zone status gives us one more tool to use in growing our own high tech businesses, as well as attracting firms to our area. “We are rich in agricultural and production resources. We have cutting edge research being done at the UW-Madison. Madison Area Technical College is an excellent resource for employee training. And, we have an outstanding quality of life, a key attraction for those employed in New Economy fields. “Putting the Technology Zone application together was truly a collaborative effort with Dane County, the City of Madison, the City of Middleton, Fitchburg, Monona, and the Town of Madison participating. We now also welcome Rock and Jefferson counties to the Technology Zone. “We appreciate the Technology Zone designation, and we are well positioned in Dane County for even better things ahead, if we continue to work productively together.”
