Small business owners looking for ways to improve their profitability should plan to attend this year's Dane County Business Opportunity Forum on May 15, 2002, at the Exhibition Hall of the Alliant Energy Center, Madison. A combination of workshops, exhibitors and keynote speakers will carry out the theme of this year's Forum: Celebrating and Promoting Business Growth and Opportunity in Dane County. “The Forum is a great resource for all those motivated people in our county who are running or planning to start a business here,” said Dane County Executive Kathleen Falk. “We value our entrepreneurs and we’re happy to sponsor this opportunity for them to learn even more to help their businesses prosper.” The Forum is designed to support business growth and entrepreneurship, with over 20 different educational sessions. Attendees will have an opportunity to learn about communication services, website design, E-business trends, government contracts and various financial services. Dane County Executive Kathleen Falk, Banc One Chief Economist Anthony Chan, and co-owner of Orange Tree Imports, Carol “Orange” Schroeder will address attendees during the Forum. The Dane County Business Opportunity Forum will take place from 8:30 a.m. through 4:00 p.m. For registration information, visit www.co.dane.wi.us and click on Business Opportunity Forum or call 608/273-0237.
