MADISON, WI – As travelers finalize their holiday travel plans, Dane County Regional Airport (DCRA) is ready for what is anticipated to be an 8% increase in Thanksgiving travel over 2022 (source: AAA). In addition, DCRA is pleased to announce the addition of new seasonal non-stop flights to popular warm weather destinations. Starting in November, American Airlines added service to Miami, Frontier now flies to Fort Myers, and Sun Country has resumed Fort Myers and will begin non-stop service to Phoenix twice per week beginning in December.

“This is the second announcement of new, non-stop service in two weeks, as we recently welcomed Breeze Airways and their non-stop service to Tampa and Orlando, Florida,” said Dane County Executive Joe Parisi. “Whether people are traveling for the holidays, or making plans to get a break from the winter weather, we encourage all travelers to experience the benefits of choosing to fly from our local airport, which in turn strengthens our local economy.”

“We are pleased to be able to offer more non-stop flights to these popular warm weather destinations,” said Airport Director Kim Jones. “We hope people in South Central Wisconsin choose MSN as they plan their holiday travel and winter vacations, so we can continue the expansion of flights and airlines.”

The Dane County Regional Airport provides seamless, low-stress, and affordable options for both leisure and business travelers with daily arrivals and departures, non-stop and one-stop service that provides access to nearly every worldwide destination.

In addition, DCRA recently opened a 90,000-square-foot expansion of its south terminal, with new and updated amenities aimed at making travel easier and more convenient, such as a new Mother’s Lounge, Children’s Play Area, Meeting Rooms, free Wi-Fi 6, an indoor Pet Relief area and more.
