Arrest Made in Town of Oregon Fatal Hit and Run
Dae County Sheriff’s Office detectives have made an arrest in the June 7th fatal hit and run on CTH MM, just south of CTH A, in the town of Oregon.
Timothy W. Pritchett, age 38 of Brooklyn, WI, was taken into custody today and is currently being held in the Dane County Jail.
Pritchett was operating a Chevrolet G1500 van when he allegedly struck and killed 30-year-old Logan Gueths. An alert truck driver discovered Logan’s body on Wednesday, June 8 around 5:00 p.m. Through interviews with area residents and tips received from the public, detectives were able to identify Pritchett as a potential suspect. Detectives interviewed Pritchett and later executed a search warrant on his van.
Pritchett is tentatively charged with Homicide by Negligent Operation of a Vehicle and Felony Hit and Run (causing death).
The Dane County Sheriff’s Office sends our sincerest condolences to Logan’s family. The Sheriff’s Office also thanks the public for the numerous tips received in this case. As this investigation continues, we will work diligently to bring justice for Logan and his family.
