In April 2020 Dane County issued an ambitious community-wide Climate Action Plan to cut all greenhouse gas emissions in Dane County in half by 2030. Dane County’s priority now is to implement the climate action plan—to reduce emissions from buildings, transportation and other sources. As Director of Dane County’s Office on Energy & Climate Change, Kathy Kuntz is leading the efforts to turn the plan into action.  Kathy will discuss the overall climate plan, early signs of progress and the challenges ahead as we pursue a clean energy future. Additionally, Kathy will highlight local leadership that is helping to accelerate progress and also provide suggestions for how individuals and businesses can do their part to help Dane County achieve its ambitious climate goals.
