Event Description

This event is ongoing - the StoryWalk is available to visit daily (Monday - Sunday).
Come out the Lussier Family Heritage Center prairie trails for a self-guided StoryWalk® featuring “The Napping House?" By: Audrey Wood. The book starts just past the Prairie Learning Center sign (behind the Pollinator Garden).

The Napping House is a cumulative tale about a cozy bed, a snoring granny, a dreaming child, a dozing dog, and a snoozing cat. One by one the characters snuggle up in a pile until a tiny unwelcome guest appears on the scene.

This book is featured as part of our Healthy Parks, Healthy You collaboration with the Foundation for Dane County Parks, Dean Health Plan, and SSM Health.

Note: Due to COVID-19 the Lussier Family Heritage Center bathroom facilities are closed. A porta-let is available for use at the Lower Yahara River Trail parking lot across the street on Lake Farm Road.
