Starkweather Creek Fall Color and Sunset Paddle

Friends of Starkweather Creek will host a fall color paddle up Starkweather Creek with possible finish on Lake Monona for the sunset at 6:06 pm (wind and waves permitting). Afterwords, join them for a fire circle one mile away (off Cottage Grove Rd near Stoughton Rd). Ten canoes (and paddles) are available or bring your own.  Meet at the Olbrich Park boat launch. This will be a win/win healing and honoring of people and place… balancing and synergizing inner and outer, self and other, head and heart, physical and metaphysical, serious and silly… including explorations of current topics of interest in the watershed (PFAS pollution, the F-35 proposal... or any other items of interest.

Please RSVP to Carl Landsness, Friends of Starkweather Co-Chair, if you plan to join so they can estimate numbers. Let him know if you need a spot in a canoe.
