County Executive Falk statement regarding ATC lines

(Dane County Executive Kathleen Falk today issued this statement in response to the announcement from American Transmission Company regarding two proposed transmission line routes.)

“Now that American Transmission Company has announced its two proposed power line routes through Dane County, it is imperative the county remain involved in the Public Service Commission regulatory process,” Falk said. “As the PSC performs its analysis of the proposal, including whether a line is needed, I want to make sure this project does not harm our trails, parks, farmlands and natural resources.

“The location of a transmission line route has a real effect on our future, and it is vital the county remains focused on the PSC.”
