Dane County Executive Kathleen Falk and Town of Madison Chairman James Campbell are pleased to announce an Informational Open House for the Town of Madison Neighborhood Revitalization Planning effort. The meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2001 from 7:00 –9:00 p.m. at the Neighborhood Intervention Center on 501 East Badger Road (across from Badger Bowl).
The Town of Madison, in partnership with the Dane County Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Office, is in the process of developing a plan which will address economic opportunities, employment, services, safety and the environment in the Town of Madison. The planning process will also help to direct federal funds towards improving the quality of life for Town residents. The Revitalization Plan is being developed by Planning and Design Institute, Inc. and paid for with a CDBG grant given by Dane County to the Town of Madison. The planning process is being guided by a steering committee comprised of a diverse cross-section of Town residents.
County Executive Falk and Chairman Campbell encourage those interested to attend this meeting to voice their concerns, opinions and views about the revitalization efforts in the Town of Madison.
