Introduction
 
ESRI's ArcGIS is an integrated suite of GIS software products that support organizations in delivering geographic information and technology through desktops, servers, the Internet, and mobile devices.  The ArcMap product, coupled with geodatabases, give Dane County staff the tools to analyze, map, and present geographic information.  Most Dane County staff who use GIS work with the ArcView version of ArcMap.  This document provides basic training and information on ArcMap, ArcCatalog, Dane County GIS data, and additional resources to help you use GIS at Dane County.
